About Me

Farah (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina. Farah is dedicated to supporting adults through healing, growth, and meaningful change. As a first-generation Arab American, her work is deeply informed by lived experience navigating cultural identity, intergenerational narratives, and the complexities of belonging. She brings this lens into the therapy room with cultural humility, respect, and a commitment to creating an inclusive space for all clients — especially those whose identities have been historically marginalized or misunderstood.

Her approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. She has specialized training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which she uses to help clients build resilience, process trauma, and reconnect with their values. She creates a calm, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel safe exploring their emotions and experiences, and she walks beside them as they move toward a more authentic and empowered life.

Farah currently offers telehealth and in person visits in  Raleigh, North Carolina, under the supervision of Dr. Candice Creasman Mowrey, PhD, LCMHCS. Farah is committed to ongoing learning, social justice, and providing a therapeutic relationship that helps clients feel supported and truly cared for.

She welcomes adults who are ready to begin their healing journey and looks forward to offering a space where they can feel grounded, encouraged, and at home within themselves.

Farah currently works with individuals aged 18 years and older.

OUR MISSIONWHAT WE STAND FOR

We are guided by principles of awareness, compassion and change in our clinical and community-based work. We seek to bring awareness to issues such as racial trauma, interpersonal violence, LGBTQ+ affirmative care and women’s health concerns. We offer accessible services and extensive training through our counseling internship program. And we partner with community groups engaged in activism with and for marginalized groups.
