Immigration Evaluations

What To Expect

Individuals interested in a obtaining a clinical evaluation for their immigration case will meet with a trained therapist for a total of two sessions. Each meeting will last between 1 and 1.5 hours, during which your evaluator will ask you about your case and how your case impacts your mental health, safety, and/or your family. After the second meeting, the therapist will write up a detailed report that will include a case summary, the clinical assessments conducted, relevant personal history, evaluation of symptoms, evaluation of credibility, impacting factors, findings, and recommendations.

Please allow three weeks for the evaluation write up to be completed after the 2nd interview.

Cost and Payment

The fee for the evaluation is $1200 and includes both meetings, as well as the written report. To set up a payment plan or request a reduced fee, you must discuss with the therapist before the first session.

Court Appearances:
There is a $500/hr fee for court testimony

Rush Fees:
There is a $250 rush fee if the report is needed within 2 weeks.
There is a $400 rush fee if the report is needed within 7 days

Your Appointment

Online appointments will be through the Simple Practice platform. Once scheduled, you will receive an email from Simple Practice prompting you to create a client portal to fill out and sign the required documents. Please have these documents reviewed and signed 24 hours prior to our meeting or you may be asked to reschedule.

InterpretersIf a client is not comfortable speaking English, it is up to the client to find an interpreter to join each session. It is highly preferable that this be a professional interpreter. Please discuss with the therapist beforehand if you need suggestions for how to find an interpreter.
