RC (they/them) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate, a Certified Full Spectrum Doula, and certified EMDR therapist. They hold an MSW from UNC-Chapel Hill. Continuing the legacy of grandmothers before them, RC is a balabusta: creating home in body, mind, spirit, and community. They hold space as a witness, companion, and accomplice through the transition and growth with radical presence, attunement, and care. Interdependence, loving accountability, and liberatory embodiment are their guideposts. RC’s career has encapsulated birth and death work, childcare, youth work, public health education, sex + pleasure education, disability justice, and community organizing. RC is white, Ashkenazi Jewish, disabled, neurodivergent, queer, and trans.
RC is deeply curious about our inner selves, the ways we connect, and how we transform and are transformed by the world around us. RC’s clinical practice has developed in relationship to personal and communal experiences of privilege and oppression. They strive to create collaborative relationships with their clients that are explicitly and actively trauma-informed, anti-racist, anti-ableist, poly-friendly, fat-positive, sex + kink positive. RC’s clinical practice works within an intersectional healing justice lens with warmth, holistic, and non-judgmental support.
RC accompanies others in creating and ritualizing patterns, meaning, and impermanence, weaving together the past and future for embodied presence. RC studies and works with emergent strategies, earth patterns, tarot, plant medicine, mindfulness, the stars, and dreams. As a lifelong student, they continually expand their skills in Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Somatics. RC is excited for clients to bring their personal and ancestral spiritual practices to intersect with the clinical modalities that support pattern-breaking, developing healthier attachment, unlearning shame, and sharing ourselves with authenticity.
RC currently works with individuals aged 25 years and older.

We are guided by principles of awareness, compassion and change in our clinical and community-based work. We seek to bring awareness to issues such as racial trauma, interpersonal violence, LGBTQ+ affirmative care and women’s health concerns. We offer accessible services and extensive training through our counseling internship program. And we partner with community groups engaged in activism with and for marginalized groups.
